Some of the tasks of a wedding planner include various and quite different areas. These include:
- Creation of a to-do list for the wedding
- Development of a concept for the celebration
- Venue search for the wedding
- Recommendation and booking of suitable service providers
- Selection and recommendation of a wedding photographer
- Recommendation of bands, musicians, and DJ for the wedding
- Creation and implementation of a decoration concept
- Development of a comprehensive schedule for the wedding
- Accompaniment of the bridal couple on the wedding day
- Point of contact for all service providers, guests, and of course, the bridal couple
The administrative part
The administrative part mainly consists of extensive lists in Excel and Word. As a wedding planner, one often spends several hours a day with planning lists and organization tools. We also enjoy using the note function on the iPhone, as it syncs with the MacBook and offers a share function. This allows us to collaboratively and flexibly edit the to-do lists regardless of location. It’s incredibly important for us to have access to all files at any time and from anywhere.
The Creative Part
The process also begins on the PC. Because we create our concepts using PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign, Pinterest, Instagram, Canva, and regularly changing apps. But here, we also return to the real world. Because for the design, decoration, and equipment of our weddings, we have to feel fabrics, combine dishes, touch stationery, check paper types, compare chair cover qualities, and create sample tables. Here, our creative, decorative, and trained eye is always in demand to meet the client’s taste and provide modern, contemporary recommendations.
