Trade Fair Maison & Objet Wedding Trends 2024
Paris in a day, including a visit to the Maison & Objet trade fair and sightseeing? Festtagsdesign: YES!!!!
Before I tell you about our legendary day trip to Paris, let’s briefly flashback to last year, December 14, 2022. Christmas party at Festtagsdesign in the Bistro of Trateur Wille. Karina organized such a beautiful Christmas party for us with smaller and larger surprises. The biggest surprise was in an elegant black box, placed on each of our seats. When we finally got to open it, we needed a moment to realize that Festtagsdesign had organized a team trip to Paris for us. I probably don’t need to mention that we toasted to this event several times that evening with Cremant, do I?
Now, here we are again this year, on January 20, 2023, at 6:00 a.m. in the departure hall of Hamburg Airport. We all had little sleep but were full of anticipation and excitement about what awaited us in the beautiful city. Arriving in Paris, we quickly grabbed a coffee to go and headed straight to the shuttle bus, which took us to the Maison & Objet trade fair. Promptly at ten, we were at the cloakroom and couldn’t wait to explore the latest trends and designs. We had prepared a list of favorite booths in advance that we absolutely wanted to see. Because the fair consisted of 7 huge halls, where one could easily spend three full days. We were there for a good four hours – and tried to absorb as much as possible and take it home with us. We were particularly impressed by the various (sometimes very vibrant) color combinations, the latest interior trends, and much more. Totally inspired and still lost in thought from the fair, we jumped into a taxi and headed to the Champs-Élysées. Even though time was limited, spending half an hour on the Champs-Elysees and window shopping was inevitable. Our next stop was the beautiful Cafe Laduree. We were warmly welcomed and placed on the upper floor with a beautiful view. Karina had already booked the “Tea-Time” for us in advance, which includes sweet and savory delights as well as hot drinks.
And – what must not be missing in Paris, of course… Exactly, a selection of macarons. I have to admit that I have never eaten such good macarons as at Laduree. Admittedly, the refreshment at Laduree was very good, so we set off for the last highlight of our Paris trip, still fit and motivated. Even now, I could let you guess again, but to be honest, everyone knows which sight – even if you only have one day in Paris – cannot be missed – the Eiffel Tower! In our case, even the illuminated and glittering Eiffel Tower, as we managed to be there promptly at 6:00 p.m. Of course, there were some team photos taken (even though we were not complete, as our dear Christina was unfortunately unable to attend), which we don’t want to withhold from you.
Full of impressions and extremely happy, we landed back in Hamburg at 10:30 p.m.
Our conclusion about the fair. It was a complete success, and each of us took home inspirations and ideas that you will soon find at our future weddings. Stay tuned.
