Alright you guys...
Which location would I like to introduce to you in more detail this time??! Here’s a clue or two:
- crossed sabers
- the most famous beach hut in the world
- 30,000 wine bottles in the wine cellar
- the legendary currywurst
You’re right! It’s the SANSIBAR!!!!
The Sansibar
is located in Rantum, in the south of the island of Sylt. First, you reach a large beach parking lot. Then, a beach path leads directly up to the Sansibar. When you spot the Sansibar, the sight resembles that of a ski lodge. Instead of snow, however, you’ll find dune grass, sand, and a wonderful view of the sea. Outside, there is a large terrace with beach chairs, wooden tables, benches, and chairs. The terrace has about 250 seats available.
While enjoying an aperitif outside, children can play on the in-house pirate playground. Upon entering the restaurant, you are once again greeted by this classic hut charm, with lots of wood and large bright windows.
At the Sansibar, you can toast with up to 160 wedding guests, enjoy the Kaiserschmarrn (but of course also many other delicacies), and of course, celebrate exuberantly! Even in smaller groups, you can spend a beautiful wedding day there without necessarily renting the entire Sansibar exclusively. In the so-called “Stube,” up to 20 people can be accommodated – there you sit somewhat “shielded,” so you are among yourselves without spatial separation…
To celebrate on your desired wedding day
at the Sansibar, it is advisable to make the reservation request well in advance. Due to its popularity, the Sansibar can be fully booked for the following year’s summer season. To exclusively rent the Sansibar, it’s fair to say that a somewhat more generous wedding budget is required.
If you’re more interested in a winter wedding, the Sansibar is also the perfect choice! The cozy hut atmosphere, mulled wine, a heated terrace, and besides the wedding cake, “Kaiserschmarrn for all” sound like a dreamy winter wedding.
